Hot Rides OnWheels Inc. staff 11/13/2008
Going into model year 2009, automakers are facing a slumping U.S. economy, an extremely tight credit environment, a presidential election and the highest fuel prices in history. Not surprisingly, new car sales were off three percent for 2007. with a bigger decrease predicted for 2008.

Interestingly, our research partners R.L. Polk and Co. found that in spite of a market that was sinking overall, people of color still bought new vehicles at the same rate we did in 2006. That makes us the one bright spot in an otherwise dismal market.

For those looking to buy in 2009, you'll find some great deals, tremendous incentives and some of the best new cars ever offered. Hot new performance cars from Dodge and Chevrolet (yes, the long awaited Challenger and Camaro) are finally making their return.

All of that, and a host of other all-new vehicles promise to make 2009 one of the most interesting model years to date.
