BMW REVIEWS

For those in the know, the presence of a blue and white “propeller” badge on a car’s hood automatically marks it as an automotive athlete. The Bayerischen Motoren Werke has forged a reputation for performance like no other, whether it’s building motorcycles or automotbiles. Rather than building inaccessible exoticars, the German brand has made its name producing sedans and coupes that exhibit uncanny athleticism. The legendary 2002 of 1968-76 combined spirited performance with a conservative and practical two door coupe body. The introduction of the M division cars in the late 1970s, which channeled the company’s racing experience directly into its road cars, helped to put BMW on the map. Though they’re often considered to be the curb jewelry of shallow, snobby drivers, BMWs also offer entertaining performance and some of the most competent handling out there.

2009 BMW 135i Review

BMW | 10/25/2008
2009 BMW 135i Review Driving the adorably stubby 135i, it was hard not to imagine a BMW X5 and 7-Series somewhere playing the part of the little car's parents, nervously wringing their hands as Junior went out into the world for the first time.

2009 BMW 335ix Review

BMW | 10/3/2008
2009 BMW 335ix Review Fast, capable and luxurious, the BMW 3-Series has long been the Michael Jordan of the sports-sedan set, a world-class performer that seems to have no weaknesses or vices other than a high price tag. Since its latest ground-up redesign, the 3-Series is even better, with more expressive sheet metal outside and upgraded mechanicals beneath.

2008 BMW M3 Coupe Review

BMW | 3/18/2008
2008 BMW M3 Coupe Review Never mind statistics, common sense tells you that most people like to sleep in on Sunday morning. Which is exactly why, to achieve the best results with the 414-horsepower 2008 BMW M3‘s V8, you should not.

2008 BMW 1-series coupe Review

BMW | 3/18/2008
2008 BMW 1-series coupe Review Hailed as the reincarnation of BMWs highly vaunted 2002, the 1-Series is the most eagerly anticipated new car from BMW in quite some time.

2007 BMW M Coupe Review

BMW | 9/7/2007
2007 BMW M Coupe Review There‘s no denying it; sports cars have gone all high-tech on us. Open the door, slip inside, and you‘re greeted by electronic aids, navigation systems, head-up displays and paddle shifters on the steering wheel. Heck, even Ferraris and Porsches come without clutch pedals these days. Have the computers taken over? Is the sports car of the future really going to be more like driving a PlayStatio

2006 BMW 3-series Review

BMW | 9/6/2007
2006 BMW 3-series Review BMW has been in the business of building serious automotive athletes for so long that it‘s easy to forget that this is arguably the car that started it all for the German manufacturer. The 3-Series can trace its lineage back to the first sporty compact sedans to wear the propeller badge, and it‘s still the meat and potatoes of BMW‘s lineup.

2006 BMW 530xi Review

BMW | 9/6/2007
2006 BMW 530xi Review It‘s getting to the point that it‘s hard to look cool in an SUV any more. A tank of gas costs $100. Other drivers give you the stink-eye for wasting precious natural resources. And frankly, the things are just no fun to drive, unless you‘ve got some deep snow or mud to tackle. What‘s a person who honestly needs the cargo and passenger room to do?

2006 BMW M6 Review

BMW | 9/6/2007
2006 BMW M6 Review On the day of our only chance to sample the 2006 BMW M6, it rained. It absolutely poured, in fact. The streets were awash, the track was damp, and the sky was gloomy and threatening. There was even hail. It was just the thing to ensure a stress-free day driving a 500 horsepower, $100,000 car that didn‘t belong to us.

2006 BMW M5 Review

BMW | 9/6/2007
2006 BMW M5 Review The 2006 BMW M5 defines an entirely new paradigm. Its not rare for a car to be fast, comfortable and handsome. But to achieve true greatness, a car needs to perform exceptionally well in all of those areas and still offer more. And on that score, the new BMW M5 delivers - huge.
