JAGUAR REVIEWS |
| The mainstream bearer of the traditional British luxury/performance
torch, Jaguar has been with us since 1945, when the Swallow Sidecar
Company decided to drop the “SS” from its name due to negative connotations from WWII. The brand joined the sports-car wars of the
1950s and ‘60s, coming to prominence with the legendary XK120, XK140
and E-Type sports cars; and the D-Type racer. In spite of questionable reliability, Jaguar was the premier imported luxury brand in the 1970s and ‘80s, until the rise of Mercedes, BMW, Audi and Lexus knocked the brand off its stride for several years. Purchased by Ford in 1989, Jaguar’s fortunes reversed again by the turn of the century, and its new XK coupe is considered among the world’s best. In 2008, Jaguar Cars was sold to Tata Motors of India. |

2009 Jaguar XF Review
|
| Jaguar | 11/17/2008 |
 |
There's something about the XF that doesn't translate well in photos, a feeling of specialness that's unique to Jaguar. This car feels somehow more precious than its competitors, like a rarer, more exotic beast. |

2008 Jaguar XJR Review
|
| Jaguar | 4/25/2008 |
 |
You know that friend who‘s always messing up and can‘t seem to win for losing, but who‘s so much fun to be around that you just can‘t stop hanging out with him or her? That‘s the Jaguar XJR in a nutshell. Jaguar‘s flagship sedan isn‘t the best or the most respected of large sports sedans--but when it‘s good, it‘s good enough to make you forget about its many flaws. |

2009 Jaguar XF Supercharged Updated Review

(Review updated 1.16.09)
I'm always a bit reserved when one of my colleagues returns from a product launch wistfully extolling the virtues of an automobile. Over the years, I've come to recognize that many manufacturers design their events to show off their wares in their best light. |

2008 Jaguar XKR Review
|
| Jaguar | 3/18/2008 |
 |
I‘m often asked, ‘If you could have only one car, what would that car be?‘ There was time I‘d struggle with that question; after all, there are so many wonderful cars out there. Plus, I value presence, comfort, and luxury, just as much as I value beauty, sophistication and performance. And granted, there are a lot of cars that offer those attributes. But the other element I value is soul. |

2008 Jaguar XK Review
|
| Jaguar | 3/18/2008 |
 |
Rolling through Detroit in a Jaguar isn‘t as big a deal as it might have been a decade ago. That‘s because Ford‘s world headquarters is right here in town, and because Jaguar‘s a part of the Ford family, all of the executives and engineers can get Jags at employee-discount prices. Thus, there are perhaps more Jaguars roaming around the Motor City than you‘d expect, and our silver-blue XK8. |

2006 Jaguar XJ Super V8 Review
|
| Jaguar | 9/6/2007 |
 |
How do you feel about classic lines, a spacious and comfortable back seat, sumptuous leather and wood and a supercharged V8 under the hood? It‘s hard to argue with Jaguar‘s vision of luxury. The unique XJ has been prowling the automotive jungle for decades now, and its long, low silhouette has been a part of the Jaguar lineup through thick and thin. |
