KIA REVIEWS |
| South Korea’s oldest car company was founded in 1944, as Kyungsung
Precision Industry, and started building cars in 1952. Americans were
actually introduced to Kia several years before the nameplate first
appeared on these shores; the company built Mazda 121s under license
for Ford, to be sold Stateside as the Festiva. The manufacturer began
selling cars under its own name in 1994, with the Sephia compact sedan. A bout of bankruptcy in 1997 led to Kia’s purchase by Hyundai the following year. Since then, the lineup has broadened considerably, spreading to include SUVs, minivans and luxury sedans. Kia offers a full range of low-priced, quality vehicles. |

2009 Kia Borrego Review
|
| Kia | 11/30/2008 |
 |
Rather than bursting onto the three-row SUV scene, the Borrego slipped quietly in the side door, nodding politely to anyone who caught its eye but not making a big production of its arrival. With the SUV market steadily flowing south like the Mississippi River toward the Gulf of Mexico, one wonders why Kia would introduce an all-new SUV, much less one with a V8 engine! |

2007 Kia Rondo Review
|
| Kia | 9/7/2007 |
 |
During the press conference for the 2007 Kia Rondo, someone asked the question: ‘So what, exactly, is a crossover vehicle?‘ And just like that, it was on. Heated discussion and argument ensued, between Kia‘s PR people and the media, and among the media themselves. |

2006 Kia Rio5 Review
|
| Kia | 9/6/2007 |
 |
Although it‘s still one of the least expensive cars sold in the United States, Kia‘s Rio has visions of competing with products other than used cars. All-new for 2006, the 2006 Kia Rio5 gains more upscale looks, standard side-curtain airbags, and additional refinement that should finally put it in the game against Toyota and the Big Three. |

Each successive generation of Kia products represents a big change and improvement over its predecessor. This bodes well for the Korean manufacturer‘s future. Consider this: every year since first entering the U.S. market in 1994, Kia has posted a sales increase over the previous year. |
