MITSUBISHI REVIEWS

The name translates roughly as “three diamonds,” and Mitsubishi is unusual in that it’s a small part of a much larger and widespread conglomeration of companies, all carrying the Mitsubishi name. Mitsubishi cars have been produced since 1917, but the company that exists now dates to 1970. The first Mitsubishis came to the U.S. in 1971, as captive imports via Chrysler, badged as Dodge Colts, but in 1982, the first Mitsubishi-badged vehicles appeared on American shores. The introduction of the hot Eclipse, rally-bred Lancer Evolution and some prominent product placement in The Fast and The Furious 2 helped to make Mitsubishi one of the most youth-oriented car companies in the business.

2009 Mitsubishi Galant Ralliart Review

Mitsubishi | 7/25/2008
2009 Mitsubishi Galant Ralliart Review Lacking the flash and rally-racing credibility of the compact Lancer sedan, Mitsubishi's Galant finds itself serving time as an undistinguished member of the bread-and-butter family sedan segment. Forgettable styling, reliable performance and generally sturdy build quality have made the Galant a darling of the rentacar community, a fact that hasn't done much for its image.

2008 Mitsubishi Lancer Review

Mitsubishi | 3/18/2008
2008 Mitsubishi Lancer Review Mitsubishi is, to put it kindly, a brand in need of some excitement. The hot-rod Evolution is getting old, and the rest of the lineup consists mainly of well-built but forgettable alternatives to Honda and Toyota products. Even the showcar-inspired Eclipse seems to have fallen off of the ‘that‘s-cool‘ radar after barely a year on the market. It‘s high time for a change.

2007 Mitsubishi Outlander Review

Mitsubishi | 9/7/2007
2007 Mitsubishi Outlander Review Mitsubishi‘s Outlander debuted in 2003 as one of the first small SUVs to lean more toward being a tall station wagon than an off-roader. Honda and Toyota ran with that ball, of course, and the Outlander has often gotten lost in the shuffle. Mitsubishi thinks it‘s time for that to change, and 2007 will see the introduction of a more mature and more refined Outlander to the U.S.

2006 Mitsubishi Eclipse GT Review

Mitsubishi | 9/6/2007
2006 Mitsubishi Eclipse GT Review The Mitsubishi Eclipse had it, and then somewhere along the way, it lost it. The Eclipse was the darling of the enthusiast press when it debuted in 1990, with sporty good looks and world-class handling. The aftermarket community warmed to the second-generation car in 1995, and Mitsubishi found itself racking up impressive street cred and sales in quick order.

2006 Mitsubishi Endeavor Review

Mitsubishi | 9/6/2007
2006 Mitsubishi Endeavor Review For some reason, we kept forgetting the Mitsubishi Endeavor‘s name. Throughout our test, when someone would ask us what we were driving, we‘d say, ‘The new Mitsubishi.‘ Which is strange; the Endeavor is hardly new.

2006 Mitsubishi Galant Review

Mitsubishi | 9/6/2007
2006 Mitsubishi Galant Review Shoppers who‘ve heard about Mitsubishi‘s free gas promotion may be looking at this Japanese brand for the first time. They may even be surprised by what they see; Mitsubishi, like Mazda, has often gone overlooked in the general consumer rush. It‘s not that the products aren‘t as worthy as those from Honda or Toyota. Things just get lost in the shuffle.

2006 Mitsubishi EvolutionMR Review

Mitsubishi | 9/6/2007
2006 Mitsubishi EvolutionMR Review The spousal unites suspicion detectors are at full alert. The dead giveaway must be my chipper mood. No one‘s fool, she knows that the odds of my awaking at dawn on a weekday morning with a radiant smile are roughly on par with the L.A. Clippers trouncing the Lakers. Every dog has his day. OK, mister. What car are you getting? Oh, just a Mitsubishi. A Lance

2006 Mitsubishi Radier XL Review

Mitsubishi | 9/6/2007
2006 Mitsubishi Radier XL Review Mitsubishi has been out of the pickup game for a while. Fans of the nigh-indestructible Mighty Max of the 1980s have lamented this fact for some time, as Mitsubishi has concentrated on the car side of the business for the past decade or so.
